AWARDS THREE $1,000 SCHOLARSHIPS TO AREA STUDENTS


 

CAMAS, Washington – June 13, 2007— Lacamas Community Credit Union (LCCU) has selected three local high school seniors to receive its $1,000 Joseph J. Boyle Memorial Scholarships for 2007.

The scholarships were presented by LCCU’s President/CEO Kathleen Romane during a ceremony at the credit union’s Terrace Branch in Camas on May 31st. The recipients were:

Kelly S. Gustafson is a senior at Washougal High School, and the daughter of Sherry Gustafson of Washougal. She plans to attend the Oregon Institute of Technology and will study Sonography.

Megan K. Reed is a home-schooled student, and the daughter of Jeff and Lori Reed of Vancouver. She is
enrolled at the University of Portland in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Blaine D. Evans is a senior at Camas High School, and the son of George and Kathy Ryland of Camas. He
plans to study Pre-Medicine at Saint Martin’s University.

“Lacamas Community Credit Union is proud to have within our membership these young adults who excel in academics, leadership and community involvement. It is an honor to recognize their achievements and support their higher education goals through the award of Joseph J. Boyle Memorial Scholarships,” said Romane.
